Personal Role Radio Vehicle Intercom System (PRR VIS)

SELEX Communications' Personal Role Radio Vehicle Intercom System (PRR VIS) offers a command intercom and radio interface system for light fighting vehicles.

It provides an all-informed intercom system for up to four crew members who have access to two radios. Providing clear and reliable interface/radio for all crew members.

The system can be interfaced with most military/commercial radios with the users connected to the system by snatch free connector leads used in conjunction with SELEX Communications' Assault Hearing Protection. All system intercom outlet positions use identical connectors, sockets and leads for simplicity of use and operational flexibility.

Wireless Vehicle Intercom System (WVIS) 02

SELEX Communications' Wireless Vehicle Intercom System (WVIS) 02 incorporates the Personal Role Radio (PRR).

The standard version of the system provides a live-microphone, all-informed intercom for four crew members, who have access to up to six radios if required and the PRR, for a wireless radio intercom link. Each crew member is allocated a personal operating console, to which he connects his PRR (with an intercom compatible Dual PTT Switch), in line with a SELEX Communications Assault 733 Electronic Ear Defender/Headset.

The operating console provides its crew members multiple functionality; the ability to select up to two radios to monitor simultaneously (i.e. radio receive only) and one of these can be accessed for the purpose of radio transmit.

The wireless intercom facility is available whenever one or more crew members disconnect from the wired intercom system. At this time, a roaming crew member must switch his PRR on and the remaining crew members still connected to the wired intercom system can, with the controls on their operating consoles, select the PRR, in order to maintain communication using normal simplex radio procedures with the roaming crew member.

The WVIS 02 is available in versions for use on both land and sea platforms.

Wireless Vehicle Intercom System (WVIS) 07

The Wireless Vehicle Intercom 07 (WVIS07) is an intercom which connects four all-informed Combat Net Radios (CNR) plus the Personal Role Radio (PRR) in one system. It allows mounted and dismounted crew to communicate with each other, through their CNRs and PRR respectively, across all land, sea and air platforms.
